As a Certified Medical ReikiTM Master (CMRM), I have been trained to provide Reiki before, during and after surgery following guidelines that adhere to the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
These Gold Standards and Best Practices are taught by Raven Keyes, who is a Reiki Master Teacher with decades of experience providing Reiki during surgery alongside notable surgeons at hospitals in NYC, including Columbia Presbyterian.
The Medical Reiki programme has been approved by Dr Sheldon M. Feldman, MD, FACS; Chief, Division of Breast Surgery and Breast Surgical Oncology; Director, Breast Cancer Services; Professor, Department of Surgery Montefiore Medical Center, The University Hospital for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine Motefiore Einstein Center for Cancer Care and current president of the American Society of Breast Surgeons.
He is the Chairman of he Board for Medical Reiki Works – a non-profit dedicated to the research and education of the benefits of Reiki in healthcare.
Reiki is a holistic, non-invasive healing treatment. The effect of this treatment, that involves gentle touch, is to reduce stress, pain and tension while bringing a person’s system back into balance on all levels: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
Reiki treatments stimulate the body’s own innate wisdom for healing. Reiki works as a complementary treatment and supports any and all conventional medical treatments.
